Products In Our Farm Shop
Season's first day open will be May 6th!
At Southgate Farm, you can sample each week's harvest and support local small businesses while enjoying beautiful surroundings.
The Little Farm Shop is open from 9AM to dusk, Wednesdays through Sundays, May through October.
To find us, enter at the Southgate Park Trailhead located at 6521 Mount Pleasant St NW. The gate at the end of the drive is kept open during our business hours. Continue through the gate, straight down the gravel drive. On your way, you will pass the garden and pasture where our products are grown. When the drive forks, continue right, following the sign to reach the barn and farmhouse.
Park immediately in front of the barn or just past it, along the fence.

The shop is located in the right wing of the main barn.

To ensure the best quality, we carefully handpick each fruit and vegetable that we grow. From meat and eggs, to freshly-milled flours and hand dipped beeswax candles, any items in our shop that we do not produce ourselves come from another local farm or small business. You can find details on some of our key products and suppliers below.
Seasonal Vegetables
Eating with the seasons never tasted so good! Our vegetables are produced using organic=approved methods, but we are not certified. We buy organic seeds, and only use natural fertilization and pest control measures, like manure and symbiotic microbes. If you want to know more about how we farm, please ask or visit!

Pasture Raised Meats
You can find our pastured 100% grass-fed lamb in the farm shop, along with pork, chicken, and eggs from 4 Seasons Harvest in Dundee, and beef from Sunbeams to Proteins in Navarre. All of our proteins are from family farms where animals are rotated on pasture, in a low stress natural environment where they are treated with respect. Pork and chicken are provided either certified non-GMO or certified organic feed, depending on the farm.

Fresh Herbs
We’re proud to offer our customers fresh herbs and microgreens. Our offerings change depending on the time of year, but staples in our rotation include basil, parsley, cilantro and dill.

Joe's Sourdough Bread
Freshly baked using a wood-fired oven, Joe's sourdoughs use organic flour and natural old world leavening techniques. From Cinnamon Raisin, to Tomato Parmesan, they offer lots of fun options!

Miller's Mushrooms
If you are a mushroom lover, we are sure you will like these expertly grown gourmet mushrooms from Hartville, OH. From oyster mushrooms to lion's mane and pioppino, Miller's Mushrooms has got you covered.
